Throttle Free Play
«

I have a 99 interstate. I had more free play in my throttle than I like so made adjustment at the handle bar end with the barrel nut. While I got the adjustment I wanted I notice I have ran out of adjustment if I need to tweak it. How much trouble is it to adjust at the carburetor end? Does the tank need to be removed or is the adjustable assessable?

first adjustment must be done at the carb connections. adjustment at throttle is for fine tuning.

Does the gas tank have to be removed to adjust at the carbs?

No. middle carb on right. u should be able to see the cable adjusters. pretty sure instructions are in owners manual.

If the tank is in the way you should be able to just remove the two mounting bolts and lean the tank to the left to gain access.
