We went to Beckley to see the coal mine And ride the train into the mine and tour the properties
miners house, superintendents house, church and school  Bought a miner's hard hat with led light as my office basement is really low ceiling and I have hit my head (and man that hurts when you get knocked down by a rafter you didnt see)

Well worth the time and admission to the place

The property was clean and fun. We missed the youth museum as time was tight

Then we went to lunch at
Black Circle bistro  great lunch

Janice had an out of body experience lol

Then the Pliney reserve waterfalls which was just a short hike.

A fun day with Texas Deb. Carrie Janice and Bonnie

today we did the lost mine self tour and then went out to the Gorge.

Took some bodacious roads   The Gorge is a great destination and 82 that goes down and across the river was really special as well

Of course the peach and chocolate ice cream did not hurt matters which was located just yards from the exit to the Visitor Center if you turned right

Finished with a good dinner at a restaurant (Friends) downtown  on the ride with all the Valkyries (it seemed) that made it to Inzane where I had pecan crusted fried chicken with garlic mashed potatoes  Bonnie liked her meal as well

Unfortunately most of the stores were closed. Maybe they were scared by the bikers I dont know
We did get to walk thru a few that were open and the merchants were friendly

So far a great trip, even if in a car

Tomorrow we head down to see Lady Draco at the upsndownfarm
