It’s a badass bike with classic never go out of style looks. Highly dependable, easy to ride and comfortable. That’s why. Put the new fuel injected in the old frame and put it back on the market, but please add a 6th gear. That article made me want to get out and go for a ride but were having downpours

Three into two? They came with three into 1…on each side so 6 into 2 I guess. I have 6 into 6 on mine and it sounds ferocious.
Unfortunately I tore the splines off the pinion cup and driveshaft of my 97 a week ago. Not real snuggling happy about that but after a lot of searching I was able to figure out that a Goldwing shaft won’t work, driveshafts are listed as 97 and 98-03 and of course the 97 is no longer available. Although a different part number there is no difference for the first year vs. all the other years. My pinion cup, 3 orings, thrust washer and shaft did not arrive Friday as expected so I’m hoping Tuesday. During the wait I did the valves, used up a can of chrome polish and the rear diff is polished, drained and ready to install and fill. If there was any question about keeping my 98 Magna for 19 years it was answered when my mighty Valkyrie failed. Maybe not completely, it got me 50-60 miles home jumping teeth and making scary noises taking off but I got home. I can hold the driveshaft and pinion in my hands and make it jump teeth so it wouldn’t have lasted muvh more. I am not bikeless though and I enjoy the V-4 passing 9000 rpm.
I can honestly say I would buy a new Valkyrie if it looked like the first generation. Slathered in chrome. In your face looks. It’s big. Big tires, big brakes, big engine, 3.5’ wide, over 8’ long, 700+ pounds yet handles well due to low center of gravity. There’s a reason I love my 28 year old Valkyrie and won’t part with it. Even today no other bike has the looks and does everything as well as a Valkyrie. Other bikes are better in 1 or 2 areas but every aspect combined nothing can beat it. I may be biased but I don’t think so.

The last paragraph of the article really got my attention. I agree, a new retro Valkyrie would get my attention and would most likely end up in my garage. The Valkyrie was a desirable motorcycle, and the badass Rune models were some of the most over-engineered and futuristic cruisers that dropped jaws. However, things went downhill after 2010 with the rather unappealing Honda GL1800 Gold Wing (the spiritual successor to the F6C Valkyrie). But all is not lost, as Honda can make a grand comeback with an all-new Valkyrie by stripping down the 2025 Honda Goldwing. Rams

"Three into two exhaust" I have never seen that I noticed a few other mistakes like the years of production (2005 and 2010) and the colors listed were not right looks like Goldwing colors. Might of been other mistakes I read it rather quickly because most that information we all know.

Good article thanks But as time goes on and the bike is still in peoples minds it may have the makings of a classic and prices may start going up.

The thought of a new retro-Valkyrie got me all excited. Rams

^^ THIS ^^You know after I wrote that I was thinking, maybe Honda could have 2 options for the bike a 1500 and an 1800 version. The 1500 isn’t lacking for grunt and speed and with the added benefit of fuel injection it could be a real nice bike on the market, but I’ll be honest and say I really don’t know what’s driving the bike market now, what is and isn’t selling.

:cooldude:Greetings Ron, Thanks for sharing that Valkyrie article. I did notice some questionable statements but figured the author never owned a Valkyrie. Over all I liked the article and if Honda ever thought about bringing this Beast back to life, not the plastic Valkyrie version that they dreamed up in 2013-14 but the original Valkyrie with the 1800 GW fuel injected setup I’d be in line to get one, just saying!

:cooldude:Greetings Ron, I’d be in line to get one, just saying! Good to hear from you. I honestly can't speak as to what Honda Marketing has to say about how such a retro-Valkyrie would sell, let's face it, those of us who love and ride the Fat Ladies are decreasing in numbers simply due to age but, such a motorcycle could motivate younger riders to saddle up and ride. Regardless, all I can say if Mother Honda were to build the bike we're talking about, you're welcome to get in line behind me. Rams
