Here's a few InZane pictures from Lewisburg.

Me and Stanley Steamer and Randy and Smokin' Joe traveled together,
we split it up into two days. I led us on another one of my fool's
routes "around" Asheville. There's no way around Asheville. It
worked OK on the way up and was a backed-up nightmare on the way back.
We had to duck into a 25cent (I still call them that) car wash to
get out of a downpour right before we got to this motel in Abingdon
Virginia...

Carl and Lori have an InZane joke they play on Smokin' Joe (and his
room-mate)...  Lots of grannie panties draped all over the room...

I led a group on a several hour ride one day on some good roads,
a covered bridge and the famous Lewisburg hamburger joint.

The next day I rode by myself to the nearby town of Ronceverte where
my mother's side of the family is from... Here's the black bike in
front of the train station...

Here's a train-station picture from ten or so years ago...

I rode down the Rockland road where Grandaddy's house is, I could
see it down in there but stuff had changed...

I continued way down the Rockland road to where you can go up
to the Ketron Church... I have many relatives buried there... they
walked here to church when my mother and aunts and uncles were kids.

I've been to numerous church reunions and eaten numerous fried chicken
legs and some macaroni-and-cheese under this shelter... I'm scheduled to
go to the reunion in August, so I'll be back soon... last time I was at
one uncle Bob and uncle Dan were both still alive, I remember uncle Dan
trying to read "the old Reaser prayer" and uncle Bob interrupting him
with "let's eat!"...

We rode a bunch of places on a long ride with Ron (Wolf), a local
rider... one place we stopped was this cool waterfall...

We went to another covered bridge that day too...

Ron took us on another good ride the next day and we stopped at
droop mountain like many other's I'll bet...

Me and Randy went up to the pie auction together and looked around.
Chromedome and Duffey were sitting at a table alone. We managed to
get a noodleberry pie and an apple pie. Randy was in charge of dishing
out scoops of ice cream. That's too much pie for four people!

Stanley and Jeff McKay rode home with me, through the h e doubletoothpicks
of Asheville on Friday afternoon. We stopped at a good BBQ place in
Bristol. Jeff got fish tacos. That is all.

Bwahahahaha on the, er.... IZ tradition!

Thanks for sharing the pics and story!

Went to a place with a lot of my family history on the way to Dubuque last year. Other than a few kin in the graveyard I didn't "know" any of the locals, but I'm told I have a deep connection to the area, was a warm feeling to be there... (Smithville, Missouri)
