Got home from work at 8:00am this morning. Showered, changed and jumped on the bike and headed out without destination.
Rte 119 to Rindge for breakfast at the Home Town Diner. Pretty good eggs Irish.
Was going to take 202 north but stayed 119 through NH to the bridge in Brattleboro. Was going to head north on 5, but ended up on rte 30. Followed it to West Townshend (hey I'm home already). Stopped for gas in Rawsonville. Had a nice conversation with a cute (female YB) VT State Trooper. She asked where I was headed and chuckled when I said "nowhere. And I've got all day to get there." She told me to ride safe and I replied for her to be safe and I was on my way. Was going to take 100 north but stayed on 30 all the way to 7a south in Manchester. 7a is a great parallel to 7. 7 being more highway then byway. In Bennington I jumped on route 9 East to start my way home. Stopped at Hog Back for a Moxie and an ice cream sandwich. Was going to stay on 9 back through Keene but followed side roads back to 119 in Brattleboro. 119 is a great road now that it's paved all the way. Nice shade in some spots and a fair number of twisties. Followed a crotch rocket across from Bennington to Hog Back. When we stopped he said "not many guys throw a bagger around like that. Let alone a Harley." I told him "I rode with a bunch of Valkyrie and GW guys and had to learn to keep up "
It was a more casual ride back from there. He headed back towards Bennington and I to home.
Got home around 3:30, odometer says 315 miles but I think I might have forgot to reset it.
All roads were great dispite road construction in Bennington.
Sun burn on my forearms and had a Kamikaze bee do a bonsai run on my cheek right below my right eye.
I'd do it all again tomorrow if I wasn't working. Plus it's suppose to be 900 degrees tomorrow.

Wow Paul! That's quite a ride! Even if you didn't reset your trip odometer, that's gotta be well over 200 miles. Glad you were able to get out and enjoy the day.  cooldude

I completely agree with what that sport bike rider said. You really throw that HD around in the curves. I can't keep up. I also agree that the eggs Irish at the Home Town Diner is good. But I think Franny's Diner in Pepperell is even better. Since it's around the corner from your work, give it a try.  Cool

I go to Franny's once or twice a week after work. (Plus Franny's pretty easy to look at)
