I'm seeing it about every third time I open a thread.  Also had two posts disappear after typing and hitting (post button)

The site uses pretty old software, and I believe it's free, so I doubt there's much support available. But maybe they have a user forum. These problems are rarely unique.

Pretty constant for me.  Hitting refresh repeatedly to even make a post.

It's a server side error basically saying out of available resources.  Could be the allocation for the site has been reached or a leaky process taking up to much RAM etc..   The server admin should be monitoring resources and be able to identify & resolve the issue.

This is the worst and longest lasting it's ever been.

Repeatedly hitting refresh to open, navigate or post.

If we need to kick in $ for repairs, just ask.

As much as I hate saying this, this issue needs to be fixed (soon).   I'm already finding myself going to FB to see what's happening in the Valkyrie world.   I don't like being forced to do that, I'd much rather come here.   While I do think there is an effort to try and fix this, the constant effort being required to just read a thread is frustrating.   Yeah, I know it's free but, so is FB.

Might be  time  to look at :  XenForo ,  phpBB ,  ProBoards

For  hoisting some  do the  change  for  free.
I'm a  MOD  on all 3 that use  them .

Some  have   like buttons and  faces.
In order  of  MHO on the  best and  so on.

The business hosting our site tried to fix it and it didn't make it go away.  He has now moved a layer up the line.  He is working on it.

I don't wanna jinx it but it's much more stable the last 30 minutes or so...

If it "sticks" I'd love to know what the root cause was, just out of curiosity...

About being wrong - proabaly.

My guess - the "fix" involved more allocation of resources (disk space, memory, CPU) to our domain. I could be wrong, but I don't think so....

We are supposed to be on a standalone server, so a couple of those could be possible.  I'm going with the mouse theory.   Wink

No errors for me in the last few moments so it seems they resolved the issue.

Perhaps someone could ask them if they could monitor the resource that was culprit to prevent future issues?
