I rode up and back with Randy. No goat pastures or trees in the road this year  cooldude

I went with a small group on a pretty good saturday ride I mapped out, no dirt roads. A good
stretch of no-line middle-of-nowhere road, though.

I snapped this picture before hitting the hay one night... there were many Valkyries there,
we might have outnumbered the goldwings this year!

Me and Randy hit a few pockets of rain on the way back, never stopped for raingear
and only got a little damp.

I’ve never been on this particular ride and looks like this would have been a great year to attend. But as it happens August 29th is my mothers birthday and after a health scare last November I wasn’t going to miss her 97th! It appeared that she was prepared to go somewhere when we got there so we went out for lunch which has been a rare occurrence in the past year.

Back to the ride, from what I’ve seen everyone had a good time and safe travels, what more can you ask for?

Hubcapsc usually has a few, I suspect that he'll get around to posting them in a day or two.

Same place. A bunch of us have already reserved our rooms for
next year.

I'm picture poor this year... I wish I'd turned on the bike camera
for the pig trail...

Here's a picture with folks in it... The Alleghany Inn is a great
U-shaped park-at-your-door motel. The people who run it
act like they're glad you're there... plenty of chairs...
