I looked up his records, three at Bonneville, and at least one
still stands, 1967, over four decades later.

The movie was so great, big goofy dude like me gettin bit weepy
cuz of a guy and his Scout travelled half way round the planet
to live his dream, to beat a speed record.
Think I read that he was 64 when he did the first bonny record.
Hope I got that kinda Stuff when that age arrives.

And that was not footage from the movie, that was the real guy,
really good quality image from way back then.

A guy called me a Ba$tard, I said in my case it's an accident
of birth, in your case you're a self made man.

I am glad it was not just me.

Ole boy suffered through a lot to do those records.

Glad to see he still holds one of the World Records.

Still hava  picture of Ole Burt Munro in the Bike Garage.

World's Fastest Indian.

He is an insperation.

Indian rides again, but I would not buy one of the new ones.

Just a bunch of parts stuck together, no soul.

Indian tried to be inovative in the fifties but they were ahead of their time and BSA and Triumph did

the same style bikes in the sixties and they caught on nicely.

And yes that is the Real Person in that video above not from the Movie.

Anthony Hopkins did a great job in the movie portraying Burt.

5 Minutes

Some people never live.

They just exist inthe Gray Twilight of Niether Victory nor Defeat.

It is better to have tried and failed than never to have tried at all.

Paraphrasing FDR.

Great movie! One of my favorite movie lines ... "But I've come all the way from New Zealand."

One of my favorite lines was a guy asked him if he was British and He said

" No, I am no Pomie Mate, I am from New Zeland".

He was  real life character.

I think I may look into making a run at Bonneville on a motorcycle.

Would love to be in the 200 MPH Club.

That would really be something.
