Gilligan and Navigator - Wherever we ended up

Southwest Indiana

« on: February 23, 2010, 06:38:40 AM »

Day 13 – 6/30/09 (Part 3) --- 121 miles (Banff, Alberta to the Columbia Icefield Center via the Icefields Parkway)
50 at 7 AM --- 60 in the evening

We had to ride through a little snow and some cold winds before arriving at Saskatchewan Crossing, where we got gas (last chance before Jasper) and had some soup.

Here is a link to a map of the Icefields Parkway.  This part of the trip goes from kilometer marker 48 to the kilometer marker 77.

Great Pictures! That is some awesome scenery! Are you and Navigator on two wheels? I thought you sold the bike. Whatever form of transportation that is being used, That is another ride of a lifetime for anyone.
Keep em coming.  cooldude

This was our last trip on the Valk.  It was in June and July last year.  We sold the Valk in August after we got back.  I sure do miss it.

Some great pics Gilligan. We rode the Icefields Pkwy from North end to South end, but being with that group we didn't get to stop for as many pics as I would have liked. Thanks for sharing yours  cooldude
