I stupidly allowed by I/S to fall over.
I was going for a ride, key on, kickstand up, switch to "run", and since it's been a while, battery was so low it wouldn't start.  Proceeded to remove myself and not having put the kickstand down, the bike fall on it's side as I escaped. I plugged it into my charger while waiting for SIL to come to the rescue.
My SIL assisted me with the bike to get it up-right.
I checked the oil to be sure no gas found it's way into the crankcase, and went to fire the old girl up and click, no crank.
I put the kickstand up and down a few times thinking the switch may have damaged but also thought about the bank angle switch.
Before I start down the path, any other thoughts?

Perhaps you shouldn't have waited for your sister in law.

When the bike fell over it might have tripped the upright switch, but that should've been reset by turning the ignition switch off and on again.  Might also check the kill switch.

Ordinarily, the tip over switch (bank angle sensor) only requires you to switch the ignition on/off/on to reset (after the bike goes over).  Maybe a couple times.

There's a bunch of old threads on here about it.  Here's one  https://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php?topic=126285.0

Hey, if she could pick it up, I'd let her. LOL, but with three daughters I only have SONs in law. No Sis in Laws either

Thnx for the thoughts on the switch.

Haven't thought about the kill switch, I'll check that too.  Yeah, I keyed it a number of times. (no joy)
Thnx guys for your insight.

When you have to manhandle the big heavy bike to lift it up it's easy to hit the kill switch by accident.

I've done the same thing a couple times.

It doesn't help that I NEVER use the kill switch on purpose.

I either use the key or put the kickstand down in gear to shut down.

Glad you're up and running. It actually takes very little effort to pick up a bike when you do it correctly, just watch some youtube videos. If it falls right put the side stand down, grab the right bar and somewhere on the back of the bike that you can get a grip, push back against the seat with your butt and you can get her up right, right onto the stand. If it falls the other way do all the same and just kick the stand down with your heal once you get it up.

Yeah, I did all those things. At 73, I've lost the HP to pick it up. A full tank didn't help either. When my SON in law got here, that's the way he did it. works like magic.

it does come up really easy that way, except when you are on ice.  Don't ask
