In parting out a frame, I removed the buzz bolt and noticed the clearance between the frame and spacer bar. I did not try torquing down the buzz bolt nut at the time so I didn't notice whether the bolt was tightened enough to eliminate the space between the spacer and frame. NO WONDER THE THING buzzed!

I just found my pipe clamp and with considerable effort was able to squeeze the frame enough to capture the spacer tightly.   See that pic below...

Based on having to raunch on the pipe clamp really hard, you gotta torque the nut mightly.

Must be the same tolerance applied to the crash bars and saddlebag rails. ;-)
