Very soon I'll be mounting a new front tire, I intend to use balance beads with no stick-on weights.
I'm already running balance beads in my rear tires on all three Valks but, this will be my first try on the front.
You can just vote in the poll but, I would like to know what you think.  The manufacturer says to use 2.0 ounces.

The only thing I don't like about balance beads is what happens if you plug a tire and what happens when the beads adhere to the sticky glue.   BTW, I only plug a tire in an emergency.

Good or bad experiences?

Rams   cheers

I have them in all tires on 3 bikes.  When it's time to put new tires on again I will use the beads.  The smoothest my bikes have ever gone down the road.

I have been happy with beads in the last four bikes or 20 years or so. Also use them in truck and trailer tires.
Use the plug in emergency then replace it with a patch/plug and new dose of beads.

And dont forget to use metal valve stems if you still have Mother Hondas rubber based  stems.

I did use them, but now I use tire sealant like the ride-on product. I use enough so it balances. around 4 yrs it starts to dry out so added some of the same type of anti-freeze that is in it can be added to make it functional again.

Disclaimer - Never used 'em.

Very good video on 'em:

Short version - they work, but not until you're up to speed.

I’ve had them in my Wing since I bought it needing new tires which I replaced immediately once I got it home. Now 14,000 miles later, I have experienced excellent tire wear and never a bobble at any speed. Could it be that the tire and wheel combination were close to a natural balance even before the beads? No way to tell that as I had the tires mounted at the dealer shop then I brought them home and added the beads through the valve stems, I think 2oz front and rear. Will I get the same results with the next set of tires? Guess I’ll have to wait and see, but it’s glass beads for me going forward and possibly bb’s at some point.

Yeppers, I used BBs once but only in the rear tire(s).   Did the deed today, used the glass beads I already had purchased.   Rode the bike about a hundred miles today, no balance issues and didn't notice any issues starting/gaining speed or decelerating with the front tire.   Thanks for all the responses.
