Stock or aftermarket. They measure 12.5 length and have about 11 tight coils. The manual shows 13.3 minimum and about 16 tightly wound coils. If the spring in the manual has more widely spaced coils, would that make it a softer spring?
https://imgur.com/a/1KIrvKVThey are progressive shocks, they are 12.5, I have them in my forks now. I'll never buy another progressive product thought after their rear shocks blew out on me after one year and they didn't stand behind them at all.
why would u not use the excellent OEM Showa '99-'03 rear shocks I/S units even better
and buy lower quality progressive shocks, which are gas charged like OEM?
Buddy, just like o-rings, shocks don't last forever. The 25 year old shocks on my bike were awful so I replaced them with progressive, which were fine until one blew out. Now I have YSS shocks which are absolutely awesome. Maybe if you just look at your bike and don't actually ride it the suspension doesn't matter but when your ride everyday and deal with awful roads, a good suspension makes all the difference.
