With winter coming,
Do you take battery in the house or just use a Battery Tender, and if you do, do you have it disconnected from bike system or not?
What gas treatment do you use and do you keep tank full with gas?
Do you run engine to drain carbs of gas before winter or just occasionally start up and worm up the engine/oil?
If in an attached garage, what do you use to prevent mice from building nest in your tool /battery storage area?
Any extra tips for winter?
I did all with my ZX10 and ZZR1200 I even modifies the coolant return on the ZX10 and installed an electric heating rod when I lived in Canada, but I still cannot pick the best procedure.
The only planned maintenance this winter, after I already changed all fluids, brake lines and brake/caliper parts is replace timing belts (39K miles but 25 years of unknown history).
Thank you everybody and don't get cabin fever. Spring is just around a distant corner.

Fuel tank full to the brim.
I always run 1/500 TCW3 2 cycle oil but add some STA-BIL for winter.
Drain carbs.
Battery is removed to heated shop and on tender.

I have done this on many bikes over 40 years and it has always worked for me.

Marine Stabil , not the regular. It contains dryers to prevent moisture.  As per the battery , I leave mine hooked up on a standard. On an Interstate , I would unhook the battery and use a good trickle charger.  Interstates have a constant draw for the comfort items.  I do not believe in draining the carbs.  I feel that the lack of fuel will dry out the gaskets and O-rings.  The Marine Stabil will help protect them. Also , shut off the fuel petcock.
Before cranking after storage , I would pull the plugs and crank over. Have in a safe area just in case there was fuel in the cylinders.  A simple safety measure in case of (preventing) hydro lock.
I have heard of moth balls (must be from very large moths) as a mouse deterrent. Check on line or get the ultrasonic  repel devise.

I guess alot depends on where you live. I am in Southern Ohio, so if I'm lucky I can get the first ride of the year after winter the end of March...
Winterizing? Full gas tank, zero stabil, used to do it, but doesnt seem to matter...
Battery? I bought a new one August 2021, and did a 24 hour 3 amp charge on it to start after filling with acid.... On purpose as an experiment, I decided to try zero maintenace on charging. That is, no maintainer... sits in a cold garage over the winter....
- I think the thing is if a bike has a clock or something that has a slight parasitic drain, then a maintainer is recommended. On the  standard Valk at least, there's no parasitic drain, so... no voltage maintainer has worked out. .... Battery cranks like new..... I think part of that is to insure on a new battery, it gets a full deep charge.
Adding... never drain carbs...agree with Prez, leave seals and orings with the gas in them so they dont dry out and cause bigger problems.  --   I bought this bike new from the showroom and its worked out ok.

Winter in No VA is mild.  I keep two Interstates with full tanks of non ethanol and Marine grade Stabil and both on Battery Tender Jrs 24 X 7 when not riding (batteries in the bikes), year round.  For years.  I can ride in Winter (once in a while, not when cold), and if I don't ride them, I run them.

Da Prez's (Ross) advice is solid.
