Trying to help a retired friend with his computer he has a Dell. I was able to get it up and running again... but I need the drivers for the Sony CD R RW CRX 140 E his operating system is Windows Xp
Dell tech support tells me they never matched up a Sony in a Dell with Windows Xp. But my friend
had it in his for over a year lost the hard drive 6 months ago and he don't have the install disk.
Any ideas on what to do.... remember my friend is on a low budget.

Thanks

on your xp disc is a generic driver for a cd-r-rw. put that disc in and see if you can find the driver there or, search microsoft updates for it. had to do that a bunch also

Yeah, I do.
I have no idea why anyone mistakes us for the other.
Just remember, I got the brains and the looks... (lol !)

Seriously, Mark fixes my Valk and I fix his computer.  And dad's, and my oldest brother's, and some people's at work.....
