Time for me to sell my Interstate, however to pass the safety check I need new front rotors
(they measure 3.88mm, just under the 4mm minimum)

Looking through the forum, many people seem move to the GL1800 front rotors (posts from many years ago)
DISK, R. FR. BRAKE  45120-MCA-003
DISK, L. FR. BRAKE  45220-MCA-003

Are forum members still using these as the replacement of choice?
Are there trustworthy aftermarket rotors?
(I need to make a decision today)

I am running the GW rotors on my Valk...

Expensive!

I did get a hands on look at these BikeMaster rotors...Made in Spain, looked high quality...
Originally bought them for a VFR project... they weighed more than the stockers so I returned.
If I was planning to use for the Valkyrie, I wouldnt have a problem...
Jeez, when I bought them, they were $159.99 each....

Thanks for the reply, yes expensive
It seems the EBC is the way I might go, about $350 CAD each
Because the original rotor is contoured, I assume I need
EBC XC-Series Contour Brake Rotor  part # MD1014XC
Unsure why they show the same part for left & right, whereas Honda has a different part number for left & right

Thanks, I'll check that out

One other option
Has anyone heard of NICHE Industries
I found my least expensive option here
https://nicheindustries.com/products/niche-519-crt2254r
It shows their product matches the OEM part numbers (for both left & right rotors)

Both are the same and fit valkyrie.
Front VRF800 rotors
Front CBR600F4 rotors

low wear CBR600F4 rotors can be found on ebay usually for 100.  I've been using these for over 40k miles.

don't get CBR600Fi, they don't fit.

I have a pair of Braking (Italy) WK005R (L) that are 99% plus. Check them out at:

https://www.motoracingshop.com/en/braking-sk2-wave-floating-front-brake-disc-for-honda-varadero-xl-1000-v-99-11-1-disc-wk005.html?srsltid=AfmBOoq-kdnY18XcjIcSpT8WZxRRHt1PeAU14BJcceN-xGilI_rQ8tP0

I won't be using them and are available for $100 plus shipping. Note the cost in the ad. The photo is a file photo and the bolt hole pattern is different to fit a Valk but the WK005 is the product code in the ad.

Im using the Italian "Braking" brand for the rear 4 years now. Great experience.
I'd take the offer above instanty if I would need them.

Braking is the Budget Brand made by Brembo.
Just saying.
