Whelp, I finally got my barn. Just in time as snow flurries expected next week. Brown barn w/loft was sold   Before I committed so a 10x12 red barn it is.
I filled up with ethanol free and had no time to run it dry so it’s sitting in the barn with a full tank. Need to start on disassembly so I can get the carbs refurbished, was starting to leak pretty bad around carb #3/fuel rail when I put it away.
Can I do this with no lift or way to stabilize the bike? Or does anyone have a cheap/easy DIY idea.
I assume first thing to do is get the seat off, disconnect the battery and then start remove petcock/start disconnecting hoses…tank is full so it is what it is.

Edit: PDFs should work now, let me know if not.

Use this PDF, I take no credit for this, this is from Dave at https://www.valkyrieflatsix.com/.

I uploaded some videos on YouTube on rebuilding the carbs after I cleaned them in an ultrasonic cleaner. I took mine off, set them up on a table in a room and rebuilt one at a time and I was good to go by the time spring came.

I won’t be rebuilding them myself. I have been watching YouTube disassembly and reassembly videos until I am blue in the face. Still need everyone to wish me luck though.  Smiley

I hope you're following someone's valid directions.  If you filled the tank and then will remove the petcock you will get several gallons of fuel dumped on the engine.

There is no need to remove the petcock before removing the carb bank

Yes, I had to store it full. It’s too cold now and don’t have time to run it dry. No I don’t want gallons of fuel dumped on the engine and don’t want to learn the hard way… :)seeking valid directions. Have watched the videos on you tube that people here mention many times.  I will take the seat off, disconnect the battery, then next step is..
Certainly I have to remove the tank and air box?

Did you download the PDFs I posted, they are very clear directions on removal and installation...
