If anyone is interested, I drew up and 3d printed a tag cover for my 2000 Valkyrie and 97 Blackbird.  If anyone wants to try it, its listed on printables.

https://www.printables.com/model/1466661-motorcycle-tag-cover

I printed it in PETG and painted the inserts with a paint pen.  Its a year later and are holding up fine with daily riding.  The insert is glued in after printing / painting it.

I know it fits a MS tag, most others should be close to the same.

OK, the (or my) question is, who is going to print these out and sell them?
Thinking they would go like hotcakes at InZane if (priced right)..............

Would have to get the creator's permission first (And honestly I have zero interest in going into business), the build files are under a Creative Commons 4.0 Attribution-NonCommercial license.

Actually, I was thinking this might be something "Staff" might consider for future InZanes.

It's my file and I just chose something for the license.  If anyone really wants to make them, go for it and I'll change it to public use.

Sir, you are a scholar and a gentleman.   I don't have the needed equipment or skills to do this but, I do believe they would be popular.   Heck, I'd get at least one, maybe two.  Wink

I have a couple really nice license plate frames.

Unfortunately, using them covers up "Antique" on my new plate, so I'm using no frame from now on.

My bike is covered in chrome, so it's no big deal.

A lady asked me "is that motorcycle really an antique?"

"Yes ma'am, just like me."    Grin

I only read this because I didn't know what a "tag" was, if I had one, or if I needed a frame for it?  Smiley
