I heard a lot of restaurants are now requiring an ID.  I am all for it. I quit going out in the past because of imposters (a nice way to say glory seekers).
I saw one idiot with Sergent stripes and a Major Oakleaf. YOU guessed it , A Sergent Major.
I actually called out one and told the hostess. She said she was not allowed to discriminate.
If my fellow Veterans see this when you go , C A L L  them out on the disgrace.

        Y E S , I have an attitude , sometimes a bad one.

To My 58000 + BROTHERS and SISTERS who did in FACT Give ALL!  Cry If you were around while Nam was happening you already know how some of the folks felt about MILITARY Types. Those protesters NEVER made me ashamed of AMERICA or my Uniform! When folks Thank Me for my Service I ask them to PLEASE thank My 58000 + BROTHERS and SISTERS who Gave ALL.  angel

Being on post at a very populated military installation not sure Kali will get many of the gratis meals, the lines at all such places tend to be rather crazy on days such as this. She HATES it when people "Thank you for your service" her, but I'm gonna do it anyway.

And to all, if you raised your hand and took the oath, thank you, I don't care how long you served, what you did, or anything else. Thank you.

As to the original meaning of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month....

This is chilling.

Recreated audio (They couldn't record audio then, but they could recreate it from photos, sort of a seismograph thing.)

They kept the big guns going at each other, killing and maiming, even after they knew it was over, until the formal hour of armistice was reached, exactly...

Rembering my nephew, Brian Knifley. Served on an aircraft carrier during the Persian Gulf war. I know he was responsible for averting disaster on the flight deck during a refueling operation and a hose came loose and was flooding the area with jet fuel. Brian dove down a hatch to hit an emergency cutoff to kill the pumps. On returning home he was adjusting to civilian life when his parents got a call around midnight that Brian had been killed in an apparent single car accident.

He is missed still. He was 23.

Saint Paul Lutheran Church here in Willow Springs put on a very Good Breakfast this A M for Veterans. I went andhad a rather filling breakfast and talked with 2 Nam vets and a 91 Year Young Army Vet that had been drafted tween Korea and Nam.  May AMERICA and AMERICANS Never Forget their Military Veterans. As We here all KNOW-Freedom is NOT Free! Freedom was purchased with the Blood and Deaths of those who Served and Stood for AMERICA and AMERICANS. The Cost of Freedom Is Was and Continues to be high. GOD Bless AMERICA.
