Not sure if this is the original exhaust and if it is or not, is the very end removable section meant to provide better access to the final transmission oil fill plug? Drain is bellow the exhaust but the fill is just behind that end section. Ready to do an oil change and see how the old one looks like.
Thank you

That appears to be the original and yes the chrome tips are removable but you shouldn't have to remove it but if it helps you they are easy enough to slide on and off.

Those may be the OEM pipes but definitely not OEM tips.  The purpose of those tips would be to enhance the exhaust sound.  I would expect to  see the piggies cut back as well.

If you lift the bike, the wheel drops. This makes access much easier.

I use a small funnel and 3/8" rubber fuel line thus snaked it around from the top. A large prescription bottle is right @ 5 oz. to the cap rim. Easy peazy. I noticed doing it on the sidestand that after fill the oil level was right at the bottom of the threads which is similar to VT1100C procedure per OEM manual but I always measure regardless.

BTW those look similar to OEM tips per standard/tourer but do look to be a bit larger opening. I have a set of custom round open slash cuts I made that aren't annoying @ 60 mph. like OEM tips. A very nice roar w/o the loss of power.

Additional question: does anybody know the size of the "O" Rings? I like to have some spares just in case. I will lift the bike; I plan on flushing twice using regular oil and spinning the wheel for a few minutes before I put the gear oil. I also have a syringe with tip for tubing so I can get around the exhausts if need it.  I will also use Hylomar Blue thread sealant. Any info on "O" Rings will be appreciated.
Thank you.

You don’t need the thread sealant or O rings. In 3 Valks, I never had a leak.

That o-ring on the fill plug is a size you would likely have to order.  If there is one on the plug that is not damaged, most of us would not replace it.  Here it is:

Do not over tighten plugs. They can break with too much force.

Yup, a buddy did just that before our planned ride and called me to cancel. I checked my Valk out and then looked at my XR350 sitting next to it.

Turns out the valve tappet covers on the 350 were exactly the same.

I took one off and rode it over to his place saving the ride.

All the gear oil I've used comes in quart bottles with a nipple shaped cap. When full, it's easy to squeeze a slightly tilted upright bottle and fill the final drive through the nipple. No other tools or funnels are needed. I have 2+ bottles on the shelf, and always keep the 'filler' bottle full.
