I recently contacted DynaTek about concerns and future of the Dyna 3000. Below is there info they send me.

Dan

DynaTek ,

Hello Daniel.
The issue with this application being discontinued has nothing to do with any
performance or reliability issue. Rather, it was discontinued as the result
soley of dropping sales over the past few years. In the year before its
demise, total overall sales were less than 10 units.
Being that we manufacture our ignitions here in the states, we have to
purchase individual parts quantities often in excess of 200 or more pieces.
There are dozens of individual parts inside each module. The expense in
purchasing these components is quite high, and economics simply dictate that
this is too great an amount of money to have sitting on a shelf until we can
sell and then build them.
We have no plans to do any further building of the Valkyrie ignition at this
time. While doubtful we ever will again, we can only suggest referring back to
our website in the future for any updates or changes for this application.
Thank you,
Larry Nelson

now when I talked to them a few yrs ago, when they were still making them for the valkyrie, I was told the internals were the same as their race unit http://www.dynaonline.com/skins/products/drag_racing/dyna_4000/  with only extra parts for the extra 2 cylinders.
There are new owners there now that just look at their bottom line all of the time and don't have the same loyalty to m/c owners like the org owners did.

I have spent two solid days, calling and on the Internet looking for a new Dyna asking them to check there shelves with no luck. I then contacted DynaTek to ask them again to check there shelves and the sent this update.

Hello Daniel.
If the public were having issues, they forgot to tell us! We could have been
of assistance at that time, but no more.
Unfortunately, we have no units left and as far as I am aware, there are none
on any dealer or distributor shelves anywhere in the world. The funny thing
was that 6 months after we discontinued it, the demand picked up nominally.
I can only suggest taking a look at our website down the road. If we do elect
to reinstate this module into our product line, we will do what we can to
properly advise everyone.
Thank you,
Larry Nelson

that is untrue, owners were always sending them back for replacement under warranty, in fact I sent my org back, the replacement lasted 2 wks, another replacement is still working.
maybe others will post.

I had one.  Problems starting once bike was warmed up.  I sent it back, they tested it and said they found nothing wrong with the unit.  They offered to refund my full purchase price because of the problem.  He said there wasnt much he could do for me as far as changing how it operated with my bike.  They also told me that the units had been problematic.  Some work fine, others have similar problems like I had which was why he said they discontinued making the units.  As far as them not knowing, they were well aware of the issues some of us were having.

As I have said many times...
I was involved with the R&D for these modules.
I found that some of the valk's pickups produced a voltage that is too low for the Dyna, but high enough for the stock EMU.
If I "tweaked" the pickups I could get the Peak voltage over the 2 volts required for the Dyna.
The Dyna needs 2 volts, the stock only requires .7 volts. But the pickups are easily able to provide the required voltage for the Dyna, when tuned correctly.

Is there a instruction out there for the tune up of the pickups.
I guess shooting from the hip, if enough people would go to Dynatek and request status, they may consider ramping up production of the units.

I purchased a new Dyna from TT Performance in England this January after doing the search like you.  My Dyna is not working for me but the stock unit works great even after the Dyna has cranked down the battery.  I have emailed Dyna twice from the link on the factory site and have had no response yet.

Do you have a 6 deg . trigger wheel on it , I had a 6 Deg. and it wouldn't start. I put the stock module back in and it ran.

What is your peak voltage on both of your pickups?
If it's better than 2 volts it my be a bad unit.
Contacting Dyna about is going to be fruitless, they have not made any of those for quite some time.
Some of the aftermarket trigger wheels don't develop the full voltage the Dyna needs. Heck, some of the OEM trigger setups don't either.

I don't know what my peak voltage is or how to check it or have any tools to check it.  The previous owner said the bike is stock so I never varified it by taking off the fron cover.

How do you check for "peak voltage"?

Larry is less than honorable, no more Dyna units for the Valk. They make a whole lot more money on atvs. You need to check the voltage with a scope a volt meter is not really accurate.

Any good Volt meter should have a peak voltage function. Cheap ones do not. It should have a min-Max voltage setting.
You want to see the voltage above 2. I can usually tweak them up to 4v

I have a Ancor multimeter capable of 10 meg. ohm input, but doesn't have a peak voltage in it. I have seen peak voltage adopters and was wondering if they would work on my multimeter.  I checked the price of Flukes and the prices are really up there. Does anybody have any ideas.

If you use it with any regularity, get a Fluke.
