My 1964 Chevy Corvair Monzapowered by Aeva

I bet I have had every kind of junk to drive you can Imagine.

I guess that's why I like having enough money to buy a new bike as often as I do.

Don't even look at new cars anymore, I have five good used ones(cars and trucks) so now it's just new bikes for me.

Here is one of the better cars I had when I was 17, Corvair.

It had a four on the floor and fifth under the seat.

Two two barrelled carbs, I believe it was a flat six or a four or whatever they came with from the factory.

Leaked oil like a seive.

Two tone with Aluminum Wheels.

And a Radio.

Black bucket seats, a regular chick magnet.

I have never bought a new car either,

I started to add up the cars I have owned over the years one night, (since 1968) and I stopped when I got over 200 in less than an hours time. I always had a fairly decent car for the wife, but hers was seldom less than 6-7 years old.  I always drove junk, and I made money on all but three of the cars when I sold them.

I never could see why people would buy something that lost 20-30% of the value before they got home. I always bought the best car I could find for the money, I still practice that today, ESPECIALLY WITH MY BIKES, The Valkyrie is by far the best motorcycle on the streets today for the money!.

This Van is a tire Burner But I had a Blue Short Wheel Base van ordered wiht a Z-28 Engine with a 373 gear in the rear end.

A tuner in town pumped up the Horse Power even more.

Forma a rolling start I could put a stock Camoro to Shame.

Oh Yeah it had fender flares and side pipes.

Aluminum wheels, 10 inch on the back and 8 inch on the front.

This one in the video is close .

Mom drove  a custom 55 Chevy Hot Rod.

Maroon, roll and pleated sea covers, instrument cluster on the steering column, 327 ci bored .030 over and the engne was balanced by a Automotive machine shop.

411 gear in the rear, Muncie 4 speed tranny wiht a Line lock on the shifter.

I could do a burnout standing still in second gear and this was in front of the Oak Ridge Police Dept.

They would just stand there and laugh at the spectacle.

It was not mine but I would sneak it out on the wekends when mom and dad were out of town.

This one in the video looks close. I bet the 327 would have taken this car easily.

Easy there RJ , I am assuming you are a General Motors fan.

Would I be wrong?

That car reminds me of a Red and Black Interstate.

They just don't build them like they used too.

You have to be an engineer to work on some of them now.

The electric asisted ones at first were electricuting mechanics with thier higher than usual voltage.

In front of my quarters at March AFB CA in '88.  '69 350/350 roadster, but with L88 barrel hood, lights swap, and hooker headers and sidepipes.  Had MI rear (only) plate, and I ran my overseas plate up front to cover the hole........... which can help create conflicting police reports  LOL.
