Started timing belt replacement and while watching a few videos I noticed that some Valkyries have an extra plastic chrome cover above the valve cover covering the spark plug cables, and some, like my bike, don't. Was there a different model at some time with those covers or they were just discarded over time for some reason? I like it better naked, just curious.

They were an aftermarket accessory. Not an OEM part.
