Zip ties iz kinda like that 10MM wrench or socket-I KNOW it's somewhere in the tool boxes-MAYBE-but I could NOT find them!  Lips Sealed And Did I ever git a severe case of Sticker SHOCK earlier today!  Undecided A bag og 150 count of various colors and lengths WITH my Military discount from my local O'reillys wuz $11.13!  crazy2 And after looking at All the offerings in zip ties there got about the best price per unit. I KNOW I could have done better at H F But H F is about 26 miles fromthe house! Naurally the zip ties I already had Will come outa hidin and smile at me a bit just before the ol 1 finger salute!!  2funny But in this particular instance the zip ties are like when you need gasoline in yer scooter-whren ya need it YA NEED IT!  RIDE SAFE.

Yes, those zip ties are handy for many things as a neighbor of mine showed me some years ago. He broke his boot lace and couldn't find anything that would work on a temporary basis. So, out came the bag of zip ties, used about five to pull the boot together then drove to the store to buy new laces. He didn't go right away, I noticed those ties while he was mowing his grass so just had to ask. Then asked since he was going to get some new laces when done with mowing, why he didn't just cut the remaining one in half and lace up just the top half of both boots. "Hmmm...never thought of that." Grin

I keep 'em in a few strategic locations, including a few tucked away in the "Oh Crud!" section of my bike on trips.... Can solve many problems with 'em, at least for a while.

BTW, 400 of 'em assorted sizes for $6.99 and Amazon would have 'em to me by this afternoon...

Good morning, Men.  The driveshaft spring must be compressed to remove the oil seal.  Four small tie wraps can compress the spring enough to allow easy removal of the spring stopper, then the spring.  No need to mess around with pliers or screwdrivers.

Also useful to tame the octopus tentacles when reinstalling the airbox...

Two long,    about ten inches each,   fit into each other so it looks like a circle in the middle with two strips extending 180 deg,   wrapped around a drive shaft is quite fun to watch.  You don't have to actually see it happen but  you know it drove the person driving the truck or car crazy.
