I’m just getting started changing my headset bearings and would like some advice from those who have done it before. Because I’ve added two relays and the wiring for three additional lights into my headlight housing in addition to my voltage meter being wired-in there I would rather avoid pulling all the wires out of the headlight bell and removing it. In particular since I didn’t use quick disconnects any more than I had too.

Question is, can I just remove the headlight mounting bolts from the lower triple clamp and let the housing hang while I remove the forks, upper triple clamp and steering stem?

Thanks,
Frye

Yes, just use bungee cords or whatever to help support the headlight (and not hurt the electrical wiring).  Smiley

My headset works very well, nice separation, no static, a lot better than the the speakers, does that mean My bearings are OK?    2funny  uglystupid2 hoser

Sweet! Thanks guys.  The wood burner is going in the garage, the Valk is waitin' and the snow is startin' to melt outside so I'm heading back out.
Thanks again.
