Gene , If I read it correctly , you did an improper install.
Install final drive and run nuts up and back off about two turns. Install wheel with spacers. With axle installed , brake caliper anchor bolt installed , torque to specs. Spin wheel several times. If it feels good , torque the four final drive bolts to specs. Spin wheel several times. If done this correctly , you should be to go.
I will venture to say , most dealer mechanics do not know or do proper procedure.

I read the same thing. If the final drive nuts were torqued before the axle nut then there is most likely an alignment problem. He will know the next time he does a tire change when there are no teeth left on the drive splines
