So when I left home in late January I topped off my tank and poured a can of Sea Foam in it.  After letting it run for 15 minutes I shut it down and walked away.  Dumb me forgot to turn the fuel off. uglystupid2

So here it is 6 weeks later and I ask a friend if he would stop by my house and start my bike and let it run for 10-15 minutes to make sure everything was good.  He had to turn it over a couple of times due to some idiot leaving the fuel on but it quickly fired to life and ran like the day I left.

I am a true believer of the stuff now as whenever I had a bike in the past that sat for more than a month would sputter and stumble.

87 days until I come home again and see my fat lady...and my bike too.

Big Believer here too. Makes a nice rinse and wash for carb parts while  you're rebuilding carbs too.

I cranked up the boat and mower yesterday pm with no problem.  I put seafoam in everything this past fall.  Last year, without seafoam, I was cussing big time.  I didn't need the stuff in New Orleans but, it is a must-have here in Arkansas.

Another excellent option and I believe better then Seafoam for cleaning 'er up is Chevron's Techron. I use the Techron now to keep the jets, lifters, cylinders and such clean and use the Seafoam for storage [better then Stabil].

I used SeaFoam mainly for my storage this time since it ran great anyways.

Can you use the Techron as aggressively as you can SeaFoam?

Question on Sea Foam, can I put it in the gas tank now after storing the bike all winter in the garage with fuel stablizer in it?  Just put it in and run the engine?  Thanks,

Lifters? I'm not sure how techron, seafoam or anything else will help the lifters on a Valkyrie. They are not hydraulic.

When I bought my bike she heard me say something about my Phat Lady and she thought I was talking about her.

She said she was going to go on a diet so I wouldn't call her that anymore.

I told her it was the bike and not her but she didn't believe me.

I have seen SeaFoam and Techron both at Advanced Auto.  Walmart has the cheapest price on SeaFoam though.
