JK, fastsix or,

I just installed a big round clear Goldwing fuel filter on an sharp angle between my fuel regulator and the Holley fuel pump. The fuel filter only fills up half way and I am curious why only half way?
I was thinking it should fill up all the way but it only fills to about half of the filter?

Also have either of you ever had your fuel regulator "creep in pressure" blowing by the needle valve and puking raw fuel on the engine only rarely when you turn the key on? Only happens rarely but happened even after I changed out the needle valve and also had a fuel pressure gauge on while I rode and regulator tested right on no problems.

I changed out my needle value thinking something may have plugged it but found nothing and replaced the needle valve so that is why I am thinking creeping fuel regulator ( PS I have the $120 adjustable Holley fuel regulator not the cheapie one that came with the kit? Any suggestions?

Pvan, i have the clear glass auto filter, it is after the the fuel pump and regulator, just before going to the carb, it does not fill all the way either, they never do, But does this look like the same regulator you have 1 to 4 lb Holley? chrome, i have the fuel pressure set @ 1 1/2 lb, any more and starts fowling sparklers. i have a article that shows the need to modify gravity feed carb floats for fuel pump pressure. I have a Gage to monitor and it does not creep up in fuel pressure or decrease on excel.

Yes my regulator is the same. I am running about 2lbs pressure and have had no issues until I just started having the rare raw fuel puk problem shortly after I turn the key on and then it goes away. Got any suggestions where else to look at other than the regulator?
I installed my clear round fuel filter between the pump and regulator on an angle simply so I could visibly see fuel present, I guess it really does not matter where in the system a filter goes since they offer no restriction unless they are clogged.
Anyway I am still curious why my fuel filter only fills with gas about half way?
I am also curious what kind of mod you did to your float? thx
