HotRod, brother, you need to go back and carefully read that post you just made.  It is quite confusing. "What is a good simple what?"

I'll give it a shot though.  It appears you are wanting to save some documents and pictures from your computer to an external device for safe keeping, correct?  The "external hard drive thingy" you refer to is the right device for the job, but I've never seen one that needs 2 usb ports.  The phrase "screwed up are kodak" is particlarly confusing.  I'm assuming you to mean when you installed the external hard drive, your camera no longer works like it used to when you plug it into the computer?

Hey Scott... this is Arlene Rods wife. I bought an external 250 GB hard drive yesterday and installed it. This crazy thing needs 2 USB ports to work. Well, I plugged it in and saved our pictures to it. It seemed to load our pictures ok, but when I wanted to see what was on the external hard drive it was impossible to see what was on there. Then last night when I took some pictures with our camera and tried to download them to our kodak it kept giving me an error that had to do with the f drive. So after a lot of time I uninstalled the new external drive and had to reinstall kodak and now it finally works. But I do not like this new drive. What do you think about getting a super duper flash drive? I want to be able to add and delete what and when I want to.

Super duper flash drive would be easier to use and carry.
Not to knock your 2 port USB external thingy, but flashdrives are easier.
One for this
one for that
still easeier.

Flash drives work just fine, and they are cheap.  I have several. (And three different external hard drives)
