I'm aware there are subtle physical differences between the Interstate and Tourer/Standard OEM exhaust. My question is whether  the Interstate exhaust is quieter?

When I first got my Tourer, it's pipes were rusty, dented, drilled and hacked - just awful. I asked the same question then, the
first set of decent pipes I had a chance to get were Interstate pipes. I definitely think Interstate pipes are quieter than
Tourer pipes and it only makes sense, with the longer piggies and tips... but when I changed over to the pristine brand new
set of Tourer pipes I got for about $200 (insert maniacal laugh here) I added Honda Line triple tips, so that might be why
I think Tourer pipes are a little louder than Interstate pipes...

To my knowledge, they are identical, except for horizontal/vertical piggies & tips.

I have both an Interstate and a Tourer. In my opion, the Interstate is definitely quiter. The Tourer has more of a rumble to it.

I think the can is identical (anybody?), so the difference must be, as hubcap suggested, just the length of the piggies.
