Open letter: oZ (moi) reached out with a question asked got the wrong member... didn't matter she jumped in with help even though I'm such a jerk!
I love my VRCC mates! I was blessed to be in the right place at the right time for the opportunity to start the VRCC and the blessing is folks like you, friends from the get go! I've been thinking about it and the VRCC seems to me to be more then just an interest group about Valkyrie Motorcycles. To me it seems to be a brotherhood, sisterhood since it is the ladies, girls ( : that add so much to the caring aspect of our organization.
I can't even cover all the kindnesses I've seen, the outpouring of not only care but support our members have given, and not just to our own brothers and sisters but to anyone needing support be them riders or not.
We're a blessed group and I hope, no I almost know this organization of brothers and sisters is not a passing phenomenon. Thank goodness for the VRCC.
Again, three things. I'm blessed to have been in the right place at the right time to watch the VRCC come into existence, I'm blessed to have hundreds of friends who have my and each others backs and I'm blessed to have a cornucopia of wise people, diverse in wisdom and with our numbers of individuala able to provide guidance not only in the love and feeding of the Valkyrie Motorcycle but in advise in all matters.
I guess were like a family.

This club and many of the people in it have come to be more than family over the past 10+ yrs. I'll admit to meeting a few crazies but even the best families have some of those. I believe you have done an excellent job in overseeing and picking others to oversee this club. Thanks for a job well done. It is certainly above and beyond what we see in other areas from day to day.

I almost know this organization of brothers and sisters is not a passing phenomenon.Over 10 years old, and still going strong... Nope, not just a flash in the pan I've been around for most of it, missing only 2 of the past 9 InZanes (damn job ). I've seen the squabbles, helped with prayers, offered and asked for help (both the Tech type and the emotional type). I've seen members come and go. I've been saddened with the news about members passing away, and shared the joy of new grandkids. I've been amazed at the incredible talent of some of our members, and humbled by the character of many others. I've met friends as far back as 10 years ago, see them maybe once a year, and feel as close to many, as I ever have been to anyone. Valk riders, and co-pilots are a different breed... Not following, but spread all over the spectrum of human life. Doctors, Dentists, OTR Truckers, Machinists, Retirees, Teachers, Students, Lawyers, Government Workers, Military, Fire & Police, Rocket Scientists... The list is endless. There are some Valks out there, on their fourth or fifth owner. The membership list keeps growing and growing. We chose the Valk due to it's uniqueness, much like our own uniqueness. This is the first site I visit, and the last site I visit, on any given day. The Tech side of the house has given me the confidence to do just about anything on my bike, while the 'Sand Box' lets me know I've got a whole big ol' goofy family, to share my life's trials and tribulations with. I'm pretty sure I could find a place to lie my head, if needed, in every state and province in North America, with just a quick post on these boards. I'm proud of my VRCC membership and even more proud to call all of you my friends OZ (and all principals)... Thanks for what you started so long ago... Thanks for sticking around and making sure things keep on track. Black Dog VRCC # 7111

I'm proud to be a member of this family. Everything that is said about this club I take personally. I identify myself with the VRCC and our common interest, the motorcycle of the century. Honor to the founders, the staff and all my brothers and sisters in this organization.
VRCC will exist as long as there are Valkyries on the road.

This is a group of wonderful folks indeed!! When my best bud Steve was killed on his Interstate the outpourig of sympathy, prayers and words of encouragement to Rhonda, Noah and even me was overwhelming. There were posts from all over the country and even the world. There were prayers and expressions from Germany, Great Britan, France, Canada, Singapore, Africa, Australia and many more. I saved and printed them all out for Rhonda and she will have them forever. Several even came and rode with Steve on his final ride, now when I think of that day I think of Joe, Ronnie, Popcorn, Don & Tracey, Mojo & Sindee... There were scores of cards, gifts, flowers and even cash, folks just wanted to do something... Then at Inzane in Johnson City a special time was set aside to remember Steve. I will never forget the kindness and compassion of the VRCC and I hope I will always be able to be a part of this wonderful, diverse and caring group of people. I love all you guys........

Been around since early on #5792 Missed a few Inzanes due to health and work. Been the Md contact point since the begining. Tried to pass it on due to lack of participation on my part but the group keeps me around anyway. A lot goes on without ever being mentioned on the forum. Many a wrecked bike has been put back together. Many checks have went out when someone is down and out. I had my meals paid for at one of the Inzanes by someone I have never met before. Just A great group. Its been funny over the years to see the different individuals rule the roost for a while. I can remember posting wars going on. I can remeber how this group responded on the 911 tragady. I don't think any other asembledge of molecules in the form of a motorcycle has ever affected a better group of true riders. Some groups the only bond is ownership. One of the main things I ponder when I look back is " did Mosa ever get his teeth fixed'?

Oz,
God had given you a vision and you answered the call with heart and determination. It was an honor and a privilege to have spent time with you at Inzane9. You and the rest of the vrcc staff have done an exceptional job. And I must say that we have the best group out there.
This board has given me the confidence to work on my bike (by the way my 99 interstate was my very first street bike), and diagnose the problem. My bikes have NEVER been to the shop for work with the knowledge and the willingness of our members to help each other out has been amazing.
I can say that i have friends (vrcc family) all over from vermont to oregon and down to texas and all places in between. It's great that a board like this has allowed so many to become so close and I have to tell you that everytime I hop on my valk I can't help but ponder "Now... how many more months is it before I get to ride to Michigan and see everyone again". The months are getting less but the excitement is only increasing.
I love you guys and as we do a gut check of what matters in life and what is important all of my vrcc family is always thanked in my prayers. Some of you I talked to more than my own family. It's not that I don't love my family but this is family. For those post that rub us the wrong way at times in the sandbox nothing compares to the support and love that this great group provides...
Thanks Oz for all your efforts and keeping us all together.

This has been a great site for a newbie. Me and the Valk have been together over a year now and it has been great. Thanks to Chris, I have her back from the spill and back on the street. Took her out without windshield or the lightbar. Wow, I am ready for some long rides. Thanks for the site, the advice, and the help. This is a great community!

When I bought my 99 I/S I had no idea that there was such a great bunch of guys and gals that came with it. I knew nothing of the VRCC and the wonderful, knowledgeable, compassionate people who are members here. I just wanted that big, black, beautiful motorcycle.
I have never been a "joiner" of any organization. Never felt the need before. I want to thank you, one and all, for your support of this organization and especially the founders and staff for their continued efforts to keep the VRCC such a viable organization...JTL

Stude31; You going to Michigan! That cinches it I am so in. Maybe there will be more Canadians there, what a hoot we had with our mates from Canada, I think I still have a bit of a hangover... Ha! I think back on InZane 9 and grin, what a good time I had AND I really never left the hotel. It was the folks, we laughed, cried, and worked hard to get a little air in our lungs. (InZane 9 in Frisco CO. over 9000ft.). Stude, we'll have to find another 7 - eleven for that devine treat that is a Slurpee! I wonder if they have beer flavor yet> Oz,

Kendall and I had this conversation just the other day! Not only are the members of the VRCC some of our very best most cherished friends --- they go much deeper --- they are family! Wouldn't matter what you need/ask or require --- someone (generally many someones) are jumping up and into the stream to save you or provide whatever you need. I've witnessed emotional support; spiritual support; financial support and even physical support when appropriate. I'll never forget the scooter purchased by sheer donation of members for a club member many/most only knew by name --- the overwhelming countless charities supported by big and little rallys. The VRCC is not just a "motorcycle club" it is a gathering of the best people in the world --- with the biggest hearts and souls --- I am very PROUD and humbled to be a part of such a wonderful group.

One thing I'm especially looking forward to is the possibility of more Canadians at the Michigan rally, heck isn't it a lot closer? No wait closer doesn't really work. If there are Long Riders it's got to be Canadians. My first encounter with a Canadian was about 11 years ago when I met PIBIT (Paint It Black In Toronto). Where'd I meet him? Mariposa California right out side of Yosemite for reference. That was the first "Unofficial Valkyrie Riders Rally". I had run the idea past some who thought it wouldn't work. Wouldn't work? We raised over 6 thousand bucks for charity and had a bunch of people there, it was the spring board for InZane! But for me the best and most surprising thing was people like Pibit. Now that I think about it I think there were two Canadians there, neither knowing each other before meeting there. We also had a slew of folks from the other side of the Mississippi. It was an eye opener for me, and proved two things to me and one discovery. 1. Valkyrie riders are motorcyclists be it cross country or hitting the twisties. Their enthusiasts. 2. Also, I've found their not about the fad, or trying to be cool or having the bike du jour. They based their ride on performance, like maybe I can ride this thing to anywhere! And my discovery, the thing that attracted me to the Valkyrie, the speed, handling, sophistication and elegance of the big ol' machine also attracted others. Maybe having preference for excellence goes beyond motorcycles, maybe, just maybe that's why I've met so many excellent people on Valkyries. If I don't see you sooner then I'll see you in Michigan. Keep on Riding and Ride Safe. oZ

I wonder if they have beer flavor yet>
Oz!!! Good to see you bouncing around on the board your up to 45 posts!! Proud of ya!! If only they had a beer flavor in a slurpee flavor. I rode up last year w/ three growlers full of beer in my saddlebag I am going to bring a couple again this year. Nothing beats a dustbowl stout from the local brewery here in topeka. Specially after a long days ride and chill'n back at the hotel Yeah Oz and Bludragon I will be riding up w/ a few other valks from the midwest area. We should be there by wednesday and stay through sunday. My wife will be flying in on thursday. She is excited to meet all the great folks on here. I tried my best to share the memories of the final ceremonies at copper mountain and even 8 months later I get watery eyed... I am so proud of this group and the love and support they give everyone... more canadians just freakn great!!!! He he!!!

Wife unit overlooking the valley . . . Gathering at night. Always wondered if Mosa got his teeth fixed. That guy from Texas showed up with the air showing in his rear tire.
