i just picked up my bike at a local bike builders shop  where he changed the springs and shocks over to progressives. tony also installed heated grips, and boy do they work. before leaving the shop i had to clean the windscreen because it was so dirty you could not see through it. the reason the bike is so dirty is because on the way back from joevalks house in st. louis mo.(where joe wrenched on the bike) we ran through a snow storm. even though she has never been this dirty i still have to say  i am still in love with my first F6.

Hey...that bike looks familiar.  Cheesy

Glad you have it back in your care...and cleaner than it was... Cheesy

What heated grips did you install?  I've been thinking this would be a great mod.

Are they the ones that go under the grips or inside of the handlebars?  I have been thinking about getting these (http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Rider/heated_grip_kit1.htm) which are alot cheaper, but didn't know how well they would work inside of the bars and I'm leary about putting them between the bars and the grips...I have the Kury grips which are hard enough to get to bond as it is.

His are the ones that go in the bars.  No need to take the grips off to install them...or so i am told.  (I didn't do that install for him.)

I would caution against going with any heater products that are on a on-off switch.  When they are on...you have full voltage...regardless of outside temperature.  The grip covers I have get to 140F.  have you ever tried to hold your hand on something 140F??  It gets damn HOT!!!  Whatever I get in the future will have at least a 3-setting switch on it so I can adjust the temperature.
