although it is only a couple of hours from here.  Was going to go to Destination Daytona, but they would not let us turn left coming in from the West (Bunnell).  We went under I-95 before we could turn left, but by then EVERYONE was coming from the East.  So we decided to make the Goldwing/Valkyrie lunch at the Sunshine Mall.  Met a couple of folks for the first time and saw some old friends, including Lamont on his Spyder.
Kept the Tourmaster cold gear on all day except to eat lunch and walk around the vendor area a little.  It was 31 when I got up this morning and it probably got into the high 50's around noon.  A great day to ride.  Oh and the bike hit 50,000 today, so a milestone was reached.

Hi Terry, Sorry I missed you all. I was going to ride out with Silverfox, although I was not able to get my new front tire mounted, and have two plugs in the current tire and did not feel safe making the ride. I here quite a few of the Florida Valk riders were going to meet for lunch today? Good turn out?

Ya, I was very dissapointed...I spent a week in Daytona...it was colder there than here at home and we live a couple hundred miles north.  Today, in the panhandle I spend all day outside in a sleeveless shirt wrenching on a friends Valk....I actually felt warm and got a suntan!  But no, the whole time in Daytona was shivering and bundled up.....WHAT GIVES?!?!?!?!?!?

but there were about a dozen or so still there when we arrived.  Most had already gotten to the pie and converstations when we sat down.
If you are mounting that tire yourself, let it sit in the sun for an hour or two or at least put it inside for a while.  I do my own with the Harbor Freight changer.  Not the best device, but I get it done.  I made a static balancing rig also.  The only one I can't mount is the Rocket rear, the rim has no depression in the center so I get a local independent shop to do that one.  When he put the 225/60-16 on that rim, it was in the summer and he told me he had to change shirts from sweating so much.
