I need to get my girl's oil changed and new grips. The popular iso-grips seems to be the most accepted. For that reason I have hesitation about getting them. Every cruiser seems to have that set on it. What does everyone have on your bike? Pics?

I have the Iso Grips on my wife's VT1100 Spirit and like them OK...more importantly, she likes them. They are well built and you can add accessories. On the Valk I have the OEM grips...call me crazy, but I really like 'em...they seem to fit my hand or maybe I'm just used to them. I do have the Kuryakyn universal Throttle Master on my right grip - best ten bucks I've ever spent!

Im a little different I guess. I hate the ISO Grips. Not comfortable and like you said, everyone has them. I use these. http://avongrips.com/shop/products/Custom-Contour-Anodized-Spike-Grips.html You can basically use any 1 inch grip with a minor mod. You just have to grind down the starter button housing some for extra space. Once you do that, you can use ANY 1 inch grip. You wont need the internal sleeve that comes stock on the Valk. Worked for me.

I just put on a pair of Iso’s this last winter and now I feel as though I’m just like everyone else!! Damn, I’m one that likes being different too!! I do like ‘em over the OEM’s mainly ‘cause the originals seemed to make my hands feel “sticky” and yes I did clean them often !! You’re right about everyone else having Iso’s, I just looked at the pictures board and about every other bikes got Iso’s!! Sorry, no pictures yet, I’ll probably have some with the new foot pegs posted soon.

I wrapped mine in Tennis racket tape. Gives it a worn leather look and very comfy with an excellent grip.

I too have Iso grips. I like them for the cusion and was able to mount the nice palm rest on them. You can always make them a little different by adding the rings to the ends. I have red smooth rings on mine, its just enough. But then, I think the Fat Lady sticks out in a crowd enough anyhow.

ISO's. There is a reason they are popular. Look very good, and, for most, feel good.

I dont like the feel of the ISO's but the rubber and chrome look is appealing so I went with the flame grips by Kury....Love them

I wanted something other than ISOs and chose these from Big Bike Parts. They are the Comfort Raised Grips 17-371. I got the matching throttle boss, too. They have foot pegs that are really close, too.

It is hard to tell from the picture I posted (and I haven't looked in the box for a couple of years) but I think that's what used to be on my bike... -Mike
