Hi, took the faring, bags, and trunk to the painter.

1998 Valk T color code is R223 and Y137M anyone know the code for the orange pin striping? It's an orange, and he doesn't have a match on his color samples.

If I want her to look like the factoy two tone, I need the color code for the pin striping.

Thanks

My painter just matched it to the color.  Mixed it up.

OEM pinstriping are decals, not paint.

Oh he is willing to try that, but how close is close enough? If it does not match, then what. Right now I am planning on a black strip with a small red strip on the white side and a red strip on the white side. The oem stripe is two small to put under a paint scanner, to get the match.

OK what did you guys with the two tone paint job, when you had your bage and faring painted to match the bikes colors?

When I painted my bags, I was able to get a roll of regular old 3M automotive pinstriping at NAPA.  They had to order it and it is WAY more than I'll ever need...but for about $13 or so if I remember right, who cares??  It was a double stripe, but a quick hit with a razor blade fixed that.  And it really matches the OEM maroon pinstripe decals pretty good.  And it is fairly flexible to go around bends etc.  Maybe they would have an orange that was close??  I know when I looked, they had a bunch of colors.

3M has some colors.  It will match some of the pinstriping colors.  On my 01 red/black, they do not have a color that is close.  My painter just painted  the striping on the sidecar.  Cannot tell the difference.

You can get OEM from hdl.  At least it is listed.  But, VERY expensive.

Just looked, yes there is a part number but it does not say what color it is. Maybe I check the 3 M stuff out.
Thanks,
