Just thought I'd update the board and especially those who I met in person during the Valhalla tankard ride and at Inzane '08 on what's been going on with us. I've been away from the board for a few months now, first my business demanding a lot of my time last fall and then taking care of Rosie.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in early December. That was a huge shock, so random. Her mom passed at the age of 42 from the same condition. Rosie is 39. Anyway, we did the surgery right away and removed the tumor. No home surgery kits with a butcher knife, everything was done at a well-regarded hospital here in DC. She started chemo in January. It's a tough thing to do, she's very tired but looking good with almost no hair, a real GI Jane!

Should be done with most of the treatments by this summer. Pat her on the back next time you see her and tell her how good she looks!

See you all on the road soon!

And tell her ... that hair really ain't that important. Of course hers will grow back ... probably thicker & fuller then before.

I enjoyed meeting and visiting with you guys at Inzane.  You have a very cool bike, and a beautiful young lady there.  I can say young lady of course, because she's a year younger than me! Wink

I'm praying for a total recovery!  cooldude

I'm sure all will turn out well for Rosie. You found the tumor early, that's the important thing.

Don't remember if I met the two of you at InZane (just a sign of age sinility you know), but looking forward to soon.

Best wishes and prayers to the both of you.

Now I will tell you thats one tough girl.  SHe rode the Vahalla Voyage ride with us and we had everything from leaving Md in T shirts to snow and freezing temps on the way back.
Hope she is feeling better soon.
