Ok, time to raise the lawnmower from its long winter nap.  Change oil, air filter....blade and spark plug.....all good BUT......the pull cord is frayed so off to Lowes for a nice fancy handle/Chord that Judy can start more easily so she can mow onehanded....(kidding) after she heals!

Ok, off comes the cowling and the turn/wind widget thing is bolted in the top underneath....one little bolt....piece of cake.  So I remove it, pull out the pulley and then the sound you never want to hear........a 37 mile long spring wound up all tight and pretty is now looking like a bowl of speggetti  TWANG   not good.....took me three tries to figure out the procedure to get it all wound up and both ends in their stayes whilest tucked up under the pulley tightly so you cant see whats going on.........

Finally success....mowed.......and its not 10:00 am yet so plenty of thime to ride.....ok NOW its Valk related

Yeah, me too, except it was 56 years ago and I was riding a Cushman Highlander back then.  Things have come a long way since then, but they still build the pull cord on the lawnmower pretty much the same way....JTL  Grin

Been there done that several times.    Used to be able to repair one blind folded, but that was a long time ago.   I don't think I have reloaded one in 50 or 60 years now.

No need to worry about that here for awhile, we just got a whoppin 6.7" of new snow last night.......   Hello SPRING.

At this rate we will be pushin or blowin snow in April this year, won't be the 1st time however...... & probaly won't be  the last one......

I traded my lawn mower in for a really nice townhome.  No grass, more time for me.  Cutting grass and cleaning that dang pool got really old after 20 plus years.

I just start mine like an old Piper Cub.  Turn on fuel, turn blade three times to prime then throw it fast!
Just kidding.
I landscaped my yard in such a way that I can mow the entire thing with my rider and a string trimmer.
I need to mow it quick so there is more time to ride my Valkyrie.
