We have had the same chalet for three years now. Have had roomates previously but no one to share with this year. The chalet has two bedrooms and a full kitchen. Let me know if you would be willing to share. It runs $125 + tax per night. Cheaper than a solo room. Anita will be with me.

Am very interested.

More than likely will do - just need to check with the Mrs. first.  Will get back to you ASAP.

Forgot that was still on here. Marty's done took me up on that. Call Cheaha again and let them know you are with the VRCC and get on the waiting list, I'll call Cheaha tomorrow for Tim or if he calls, we are trying to get the Cheaha manager to make calls to all the Nascar folks that booked that weekend not knowing the exact dates for Talladega. Some have not taken the initiative to call and cancel.

also....check with Craig/F6Rider. he has a room in the Private Lodge (Ground Zero)...that sleeps four. So far, i don't know if ANYONE is staying with him?

also, ask about  cabins. There are typically cabins left....and i actually PREFER the cabins over the hotel rooms!

there is also camping....quite a bit of it...and MANY of our folks ARE camping..............it's a state park.

When I talked with the lady yesterday, she said everything (hotel, lodge, cabins, chalets) was all filled up.

I might just stay at my farm in Talladega to save a few $$$.  That just means that I can't be hittin' the juice (read: adult beverages) since I'll be riding back home in the evenings.

Or I might camp on the mountain.  That could be fun.

It'll all work out and I'm sure it'll be a blast regardless of where I'm stayin'.

I'd opt to camp if rooms are full. Thats a long late night ride even if your not drinking.

Bring a good water proof tent and dont set it up in a low area on the downside of a hill.  uglystupid2 Although it will feel like a waterbed.  ???

what he said. Those who have RIDDEN up and down that mountain...even cold stone sober...at night...in the fog (just about every night up top)...the curves, critters, dark.....it's not for the feint of heart. Furthermore, with all the adult beverages and activities up top....and some times...we run kind of late (say it aint so...)...it's hard to stay STONE COLD SOBER.

anyway, IF YOU CAN, highly recommend staying UP top! share a room, camp...etc.  F6Rider/Craig may be looking for a roomate in his lodge room? ping him............

again, many times cabins open up...or a room of late...etc. Plenty of camping......

Sharing a bunk or sharing a room?  Exactly how many of the four bunks in that room are still available?   Shocked

Small ass room. We have 2 in it and honestly I am not too sure it would be comfortable with more.  If you have no other options, let me know.

Hey Tim, if you get a chance, call Anita at Cheaha. Talked to one of her assistants last night and she said some of the rooms are still NASCAR folks that haven't canceled. She talked like you may can persuade her to make calls to them to release the rooms. Just a thought. See ya Saturday and check your email.

Craig's room has 1 set of stacked bunk beds and 1 queen bed...CRAIG...I'VE HAD TO MOVE SEVERAL FOLKS ROOMS AROUND FROM YEARS PAST...TO ACCOMODATE THE BAND...WHO IS ALSO SPENDING THE NIGHT WITH US! You are in the room right next door from where you were last door Craig....206...NOT 205. 205 is the band this year. SO...you may or may not have more room than you think?

Steve. I just talked to Anita today. She said there ARE a few cabins left...but no rooms. Nothing at all about NASCAR folks. They wouldn't really have ANY way of knowing who is or isn't NASCAR folks. when we call, yes...we have to tell em' we're with Valk folks. But once our folks get in the room, they have NO way of knowing for sure if it was a Valk person...or a NASCAR person...that took that room. I KNOW...if they had a clue, they COULD track that. But...Steve, you of all folks...should know...WHAT I KNOW. you've talked/worked with them up there before. Need i say more? They aren't organized as "anally" as I am  uglystupid2

BUT THERE ARE CABINS LEFT...SO...

Good to know!   if someone needs a bunk, an upper bunk, let me know.
