taking off the front tire today, one of the pincher bolts was frozen, rounded off trying to get it out. Embarrassed Embarrassed

drilled and used an ez-out, snapped off the head of the bolt. Cry  drilled another hole used a much smaller ez-out and it backed right out.  cooldude  WHEEEEEW. going to buy 4 new bolts and some antiseize.
and .......buy a lottery ticket. LOL

new cobra going on.

p.s. did you know the intake manifold gaskets on an 05 chevy v8 are PLASTIC? tickedoff
had to replace mine $350 so chevy could save a few cents on building tickedoff tickedoff

tried to drill out an easyout one time on and old chevy block. no luck.
sold the car with the easyout still there.
and yes i told the new owner Roll Eyes LOL

Most new stuff is that way you'd think they could design a good gasket that seals and stays sealed. That repair is common, pulling the intake that is. GM even had that problem with the Cadillac that is why they designed the GM cooling system pellets. So that the intake manifolds would seal. I may have to pull the intake off a Ford truck because the intake is leaking coolant into the front spark plug causing it to occasionally miss. Similar design similar gasket. You may have been able to get by using the pellets and its a good chance that it may happen again.

Then as soon as it snapped, cause I was really putting pressure on my wrench, the wrench flew into the tank right at the bottom lip. Took a 1/2" of paint off.  Angry I cussed. Had some fingernail polish out already so i just touched it up. Cant see it unless you look for it.  Embarrassed
