I had a dead battery, put the charger on it, it cranks, but won't start....has fuel....trouble shooting tips?
OK...battery wasn't fully charged. After a few more hours on the trickle charger, started right up....Thanx ....

Because the motor "cranks" doesn't mean:
It has to start
.
The battery is fully charged.

just because a battery is charged doesn't mean it's still good. a full discharge is really hard on a battery. for the heck of it hook it to another bike or your car battery (with the car off!!!) to try to jump. Maybe you just need a new one

The coils need 9.6 V to fire. If the battery has less than that while cranking, it won't fire. As was said; jump it from a non running car battery. If it fires up, get a new battery.
