I have a  97 valkyrie, while riding the other day I noticed loss of power. Got home and found one cylinder (right back) isn't getting fuel. Has fire. I can pull plug wires from each one and it makes it miss more. I pull he plug on that cylinder nothing changes.  My question, where do I start first. I had a problem with the pet rooster being stopped up, could I have gotten trash in that carb. Will I need to get t rebuilt, or is there anymore trouble shooting I can do. thanks for any info

I guess you're saying that because it's got fire but not firing up there is no fuel getting to the carburetor.

If that's correct, there is a drain screw on the bottom of the float bowl. loosen it a couple of turns and see if any gas is emitting. You may need to take the small hose off the barb to witness this.

Could be the float is stuck.  A gentle tap should dislodge it and start it working again.

Simple stuff!

Check if that cylinder will fire with the enricher(choke) on. If it will you have a plugged slow jet.

replace intake manifold o-rings with viton ones, http://redeye.ecrater.com/. OEM shrink over time.
