I have a 2k Tourer and a couple years ago  I installed an Interstate gas tank. I had it repainted to match my Bike, Black,(Tank emblem removed). I removed the Tourer emblems from the bags at that time and didn't think to take any measurements  for emblem locations. I'm now ready to reinstall the emblems on the Interstate tank and the Tourer bags.So if someone would be kind enough to take some measurements for me for relocating emblems, I would be very thankful. I know i could eye ball it and get it close but I'm lookin for exact locations. Remember, 2K Tourer Bag emblem location and 2K Interstate Tank emblem location. I tried a search and didn't come up with any thing. Thanks in advance.

Right bag:  from the reflector on the back of the bag, measure 4" forward to the leading edge of the T.  From the top edge of the bag (the lip the lid sits on), measure down 6 5/8" to the top of the T.

Well...screw that...I don't know if the Tourer tags are in the original locations.  I went and measured the other side and came up with 5 1/8" from the reflector and 6 1/8" from the top.

Hope this helps.  (Although it sounds like I will be moving one side sometime or another.)

When we bought our Standard, the emblems were off, and decided to re-install.  I found that they would only lay on the tank correctly in one position.  Before your take the back side off of the tape on the emblems, move them around to you find that sweet spot, use a removable marker of some sort, tape or whatever to mark the spot around the emblem.  Take the paper off the back of the emblem tape and attach to the marked spot.  I got some 3M trim attachment tape from a local body shop.
If you are off a little, you really won't know, as you can't see both sides at the same time. Smiley  And on the kickstand, the view is different.

Mine didn't have the emblems on it when I purchased it and have since bought the emblems and have them sitting waiting to get these dimensions.  Sad  The reason being if I ever add the saddle bag rails and they are off, it will certainly be noticeable. Will be watching this thread for the consensus of where they go. Thanks all.

My left saddlebag, factory location:
Trailing tip of last "r", 3 5/16" forward of reflector.  Bottom of emblem between "T" and "o", 7 1/2" from top edge of outer surface of bag (where it meets the lower edge of the lid).  Bottom of emblem at last "r", 7 3/8" from top edge of outer surface of bag (where it meets the lower edge of the lid).

Right saddlebag, which has been repainted and a new emblem attached.  The painter made a template before removing the old emblem to place the new one with, so it should be pretty close to the original location:  Leading tip of "T" 4 1/4" forward of reflector.  Bottom of emblem between "T" and "o", 7 1/4" from top edge of outer surface of bag (where it meets the lower edge of the lid).  Bottom of emblem at last "r", 7 3/8" from top edge of outer surface of bag (where it meets the lower edge of the lid).

Thanks for taking the time to measure. Sounds like maby the factory should have taken a little more time. Like you say, you can only look at one side at a time.
