Last night had an odd storm front moving through NC. The wind and rain came in odd gusts of calm and calamity. We were under a storm watch, that became a warning, to tornado sightings before my power went out last night. I lost track after that. The power was off for a few hours before it was restored in the night. This morning both the local and national CBS news were talking about the damage from unconfirmed tornados in our area.

We weathered it just fine. No limbs or trees down this time. yard looks alright even if it is soggy. No property damage.

Dad called this morning to let me know my driveway was blocked at the road by firetrucks and to make sure we were fine. Someone had went off the road in the neighbors field, and they were using our driveway as a dry spot to park.

The drive in was calm this morning. The creeks are up and nearly flooding, but if it holds off raining for a day or two that should work itself out.

Is everyone else okay after this odd southeast storm? Hope so.

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.

NC was not the only ones that got hammered yesterday, we did not have all the tornado warnings and stuff but I started building the ark yesterday.  roads flooded and limbs down, it rained so hard that I had water running under the garage door and the driveway angles away from the garage.
Glad to hear all is well down your way.

Greetings Yuri

That storm came through here, but was ebbing at the time, just windy rainy... apparently it had plenty of flow left
when it got up around Spartanburg and beyond...

The national weather service was sending out people to check to confirm tonadoes. I guess that will be important for anyone reporting on their insurance.

I'm sure NC isn't alone. You know what they say, "When it rains it pours."

I was in Charlotte last night visiting my son and grandson. It started haling hard. Oh $hit my wife's brand new SUV sitting out in it. Luckily no damage. Got pretty ruff.
