A few of us are headin' back to Bardstown,Kentucky this weekend April 2-3-4 to do some additional scouting for " The Whiskey Run " coming up June 11-12-13. We are meeting outside of Lexington,Kentucky friday 4-2 and will be staying the weekend in Bardstown .The weather is looking outstanding right now for this weekend.Anyone wanting to hook-up and ride let me know. We have folks from 19 states already signed up for this ride. I was impressed with the fine group of riders we had show-up for " The Blue / Gray Ride " last year. Look's like " The Whiskey Run " has the potential to also bring a nice group into Bardstown, Kentucky in June.Below is a link with motel information and a place to sign up. A very stressful day Brian it got alittle better once we got it out to the super slab. Some folk's in northern Georgia are going to come out tomorrow morning and say " Where's my mailbox ? "  I'm on the road and can't download the pictures off my camera onto my laptop I only took 2 I think .I was sure happy when I un-hooked from that thing. |

I bet you were glad to dump that thing. I have seen quite a few mailboxes go flying. Last escort would get the address and we just kept truckin!! Those things are as much of a pain sittin still as moving. It's amazing where you can put one of those things, one driver just about turned a Cat 777 rock truck over into a creek, the trailer axles were hanging in the air over the creek when the driver grabbed a couple gears and jumped it up back onto the road. Would have been a brilliant save untill the right side of the bucket de-roofed a pick up parked along the road!!  P/U owner came running outta the house in his undies (we always moved super loads early on Sunday morning), driver grabbed another one and we kept goin. I crossed to the other side of the strip mine and went out in another county.  I like to think that the last escort got that address but I am not sure. I never heard anything from that one, which is good......... |
