Has anyone polished their forks and triple trees and had them clear coated?
Can I do it myself or is there a place to take them to have them done ( body shop )?
Once I get them done I would like to keep the appearence of the polish with effertless care.

Just trying to get some ideas.

Thanks
Gregg.

Some have polished them and you might find a shop to do it for you. If you disassemble the forks, have them clear powdercoated to protect the polish. Honda has a coating which chips off after years of bugs and gravel chips. Sanding or oven cleaner should remove the original coating.

I've heard and read good things about Glisten PC from Por 15.  It's sprayable and brushable and recommended for polished metals including aluminum.  They have a water based prep solution that is highly recommended.  I sure hope it works, I'm about to use it on a pair of wheels I'm polishing.

The Glisten was mentioned to me by a friend of mine.
I going to check the cost of having them clearcoated, will then base my decision at that time.
Thanks for the input.
