Very Interesting Quote:
In light of the present financial crisis, it's  interesting to read what Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:

"Banking institutions are more dangerous to our  liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency,  first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

Doesn't this sound eerily familiar to what is happening in America today?

A lot of people have lost a lot of money but a relative handfull of people and gotten insanely rich at the expense of others.

I is a great quote, unfortunately Thomas Jefferson never said it. I wish he did, I am a big fan of his. There are parts of it that can be attributed to him but not most of it. He said a lot of great things way ahead of his time. We sure could use him now. Here is a link that I found.  http://wiki.monticello.org/mediawiki/index.php/Private_Banks_(Quotation)
Sorry, don't mean to be a party pooper.  Smiley

Keep forgetting that everything you read is not always the exact truth. I did not research it. Naturally I was not there when he said whatever it was he said.
