Fred is an attorney.

He's sent his offspring for multiple generations to law school.  They're a coven of attorneys.

It doesn't seem they're really all that interested in influencing the public with their signs.  They actions historically are bait for lawsuits.  They make money that way.

Read about that this morning too.

Obviously these idiots have been lucky enough to only harass families who have superhuman restraint. And now the poor family gets a judge who is just as big a moron as the idiot protestors.

These idiots need to grow enough balls to harass these families where there are no cameras and no media. Then things would probably take care of themselves.

I used to work around these people all the time.. LEO's tend to do a good job of keepin these wackos away from the families when they show up. They DON'T show up all the time, and in fact, they stay away from funerals where they know they'd be in danger. They're cowards.
Have yet to see them show up to a funeral out in the boondocks with a buncha PG around. . . some reason they shy away from those.

This First Amendment crap frequently goes too far like the right of Nazis, Iran "students" in Carter's time, etc.  With the calloused attitudes of these protesters, there needs to be a "mourners' rights" bill to prevent such insanity.

I was at a Patriot Guard supported funeral and saw some of that group.  A biker got into a yelling match with them and they hauled the biker off to jail.  Of course, they released him as soon as they got to there.  The officers just wanted to reduce the amount of attention the protestors were getting.

They were protesting at the first funeral I attended as a Patriot Guard Rider.  There were well over 100 PGR bikes on that run - it was a Saturday.

I really liked the way the cops handled it.  NO ONE was allowed to stand in the street.  The protesters were on the same side of the road we were, and there were parked cars off the road between them and us.  Every car had its hood up, very effectively blocking the view both ways.  To keep it fair, the PGR wasn't permitted to block the street with our flag line up, but it was well managed to keep the protesters out of the view of the family as they arrived.

It's the only time I've seen them.  The worst part is that they had kids with them.

The Protesters have every right to protest at a funeral

But they should first all dig a big hole and climb down (or up depending on your point of reference) into that said hole, where the PGR can cover them up with similar soil to that used for the departed

Once properly deposited into said hole they can scream their bloody mouths off and no one need be arrested ever again and the Lord can decide what to do with them

The end

I don't like to even see any mention of this terrible pile of poop but I must speak of poop when I feel facts need said. The pile of poop WAS an attorney, he was disbarred in Kansas in 1979 and surrendered his federal rights to practice as a licensed attorney in 1989. He may have once been an attorney but he is now a pile of poop.

The link above will send you to the Snyder web page. Donations can be made by clicking on the link. Mr Snyder is fighting the Westboro Baptist Church in court and our great 4th US Circuit of Appeals has directed Mr Snyder to pay legal cost after he lost the appeal on the case. He is now waiting to have the case heard in the US Supreme Court this year.

It's just a thought on my part, and please don't imply too much from it.

Mr. Snyder is going to lose his civil suit.  That's just the nature of the world in which we live today.  When Mr. Snyder finally loses his suit he will subsequently become responsible, either directly or through counter suit, for the legal costs of the Westboro "Baptist Church".  Since the members of the Westboro "Baptist Church" are attorneys representing themselves, aren't their legal costs payments to themselves?

That said, a donation to Mr. Snyder's cause with ultimately, at least in part, be a donation to the Westboro clan.

I'm going to give a little something to Mr. Snyder's fund because I applaud what he's doing.

Technically that is correct.  Fred is no longer licensed to practice law, but he fiddles and his daughters and grandchildren dance.  They're still licensed.  When I go for a long walk in Topeka I walk past the Phelps Chartered law offices.

We have no difference of opinion regarding the value of Fred's contribution to society.

We do what we do for the  solders and family because we believe in what they do for us as Americans. No matter how twisted and unfair the outcome of the civil suit,we will continue to support the families, and protect them from these pos.
