...and people wonder why "we" get so up in arms at every tiny "perceived" intrusion of government into our lives... Because we never want to see our country get to this level of silliness, that's why!

This is truly a WTF moment! The offence certainly deserved that penalty. And a sting operation at that. Of course, this is coming from a country that has taken all means of self defense away from its citizens and coddles their criminals by convicting those who defend themselves against said criminals with things like baseball bats. Last I heard, they were trying ban airguns. So I guess that performing a sting operation for the sale of a 25 cents fish to a kid that looked 16 makes perfect sense to UK's criminal justice system.

Not that we are perfect on this side of the pond either.
