Welcome to the best motorcycle there is.  You'll find a fairly biased group of Valkyrie fans on this site.

Where are you located?  With the cold snap today, 30 Degree weather could be almost anywhere!

WELCOME TO THE CLUB

It's a GREAT place with an even GREATER group of people!

I am a little concerned about part of you post.

It sounds like you could be a Valkoholic or at least in danger of becomming one,

Please refer to the following link:    http://www.f6rider.com/va/valyrieAnomanous251445644189415644498491981.htm

So that you may better understand this disease and learn where you can get much needed counseling.  Grin Grin Grin

Holy crap!!!!
I have 14 out of the 15 symptoms!!!!
Oh my God...I think its terminal!

I think #16, 17 and 18 should be:

16 - If you have at least as many (or more) pics of your Valk than of your SO, then you are a Valkaholic.

17 - If you've gone through a divorce/split and were more concerned about losing the Valk than you were about losing your SO, house and car combine...then you (I) are a Valkaholic.

18 - If you've talked to your Valk and she's talked back then  you are a Valkaholic...or taking the wrong meds! Grin

I have had mine for 5 years. Longest bike i have had. Each year i look at the new ones and there is nothing i would buy. So if i were you i would figure on passing it down to you kids or be buried with it. You will have it that long.

I still ride it every now and then. I got it with 1500 miles on it and it now has 53k on it. I got it in August of '99 and when I saw the paint job on it I had to have it. I have made a bunch of upgrades/custom stuff on it. I put 4 inch extensions in the forks so it sits up higher, I should have gotten the 8 inch but they don't make them anymore. Got the filter relocation kit cause it was such a pain in the anus to change the oil. Luggage rack, saddle bags, and a Mustang seat. Changed the back rest bar and pad the other one was too low and hurt my wife's back, it's funny I walked in to the HD shop and got it right off the rack and put it on my jap bike  coolsmiley

I got my Valk 3 years ago it had 36k on it then and has 56k now. I haven't done anything to it but gas oil and tires. I'd like to paint it but can't decide how yet and can't justify the cost.

Ull love it for a long time.  Lots of us have since the start.  Shes a little long in the tooth, but is still up thee with the top dogs.  Now plan on Inzane and meet a bunch of Houligans that share your new affection, and be prepaired to check out some truely magnificent machines.  Ull get some ideas of some of the custom touches you can use to make it your one of a kind machine.
