Believe it or not, my Father would do the very same thing.

 I can remember him spending a Saturday going from one dentist to the next to nogotiate the lowest price for tooth extractions. No novacaine, because their was always cheap whiskey and asprin at home along with cotton rags to soak up any blood.

My old man was one tough SOB! (I'm not that brave)
